About the First Language
First Language is a discussion board for research into how youngsters accumulate their first language, and the application of that studies into exercise.
First Language publishes unique studies, theoretical articles, overview articles and e book critiques in all areas of first language acquisition. Age companies studied variety from neonates to teenagers. This journal is a member of the Committee on ebook Ethics (COPE).
Multidisciplinary in scope
Child language studies is multidisciplinary and this is pondered within the contents of the magazine: research from numerous theoretical and methodological traditions is welcome. Authors from a extensive variety of disciplines - together with psychology, linguistics, anthropology, cognitive science, neuroscience, conversation, sociology and education - are frequently represented in our pages. Empirical papers range from individual case research, through experiments, observational/ naturalistic, analyses of CHILDES corpora, to parental surveys.
